At Flex Digital, you’re not just a job title. You’re the voice, the vibe, and the magic behind everything we create. Today, we’re spotlighting our Head of Agency, Chloe Wheeler, who shares her journey with Flex Digital and a glimpse into life beyond the office.

1. How has your journey been with Flex Digital so far?

I started working with Flex as an Operations Consultant and after a fun few months, I was asked to join the team full-time as Head of Agency.

Throughout the year I have been with Flex, I have seen so much growth, both in the company and the skills and mindset of the team, it has been a pleasure to watch the team develop and work with our clients in the unique way we do!

2. What’s something new or surprising you’ve learned on the job?

I learn something new every day at Flex. Sometimes it’s new quirky marketing strategies, and other times it’s just learning something new about the team. The other day I learnt that we were being found via ChatGPT which is very exciting and this led to a potential new client! A new channel of marketing has opened and we need to leverage this for our clients.

We also have a diverse team with various experiences so I am always learning from them.

3. What part of your role makes you feel like a total rockstar?

When the team wins! I love seeing the team collaborate and work together, then see success. It makes some of the difficult days so worth it

4. What excites you most about working in the digital marketing world?

I get excited to see our clients’ businesses grow and that we have helped them discover the power of Digital Marketing. As it is such a wide industry, it is difficult to know where to start. It’s great to see how the work we do impacts their business and generates ROI. Many of our clients have been with us for years, so seeing their growth is super exciting.

5. If you had to explain your job to a 6-year-old, what would you say?

I make sure people’s businesses are found on the internet and I help people find what they are looking for on the internet.

6. What’s a small win that made a big impact for you recently?

I am all about the small wins..I think it’s seeing the sum of a few small processes I implemented with the team last year really starting to benefit the company long term. It’s great to see this come to fruition.

7. Coffee, music, routine – what’s your go-to work fuel?

Coffee before anything! A short walk around the village before work, then I get my emails out of the way before the day starts officially.

8. What’s one piece of advice you’d give someone joining this industry?

This industry will enable you to be creative, logical, analytical and become an expert all in one! Just keep learning, test things, break things, and have confidence when things don’t go the way you thought they would, it is part of the process.

9. What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Give us a glimpse into your life beyond deadlines and Basecamp pings.

I spend a lot of time with friends and family. I can usually be found exploring the countryside somewhere. I love travelling and cooking different cuisines.

I love self development too, so I will always be testing out some new ‘life changing’ routine! Meditation has been great for me, alongside yoga and weight training. Haven’t quite gotten into fasting yet….I love cooking too much!

10. Two truths and one lie about you (let the team guess!)

I have never been stung by a bee or wasp

I am related to Lord Nelson

I have moved house 29 times in my life

11. If your job was a meme, which one would it be?

12. If your energy had a soundtrack, what song would be playing?

It would be a loop of Tibetan singing bowls, rain sounds and calming soundtracks…or heavy metal!
